3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape RT8012US is designed for attaching auto trim and parts such as spoilers and claddings. This automotive OEM tape features a strong, conformable 1.2 mm viscoelastic acrylic foam core with acrylic adhesive on both sides. The adhesive is formulated for excellent adhesion to a complete range of paint systems including traditional and advanced paint systems.
A Versatile Tape for a Range of Paint Systems
Developed specifically for attaching trim and other exterior parts in automotive applications, 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape RT8012US features an acrylic adhesive formulated for a wide range of auto paint systems. This adhesive delivers excellent adhesion to traditional auto paint and many advanced paint systems, and helps support heavier parts such as spoilers and claddings. The adhesive is applied to both sides of a 1.2 mm viscoelastic acrylic foam core, which provides stress relaxation when exposed to high loads and maintains tight bond line aesthetics under normal conditions. The inconspicuous gray color of 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape RT8012US helps ensure good bond line appearance. The orange liner provides easy one piece release and efficient tape application.
