3M™ PSA Disc Holder connects 3M™ discs with pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backings to rotary sanders and die grinders. Our disc holder provides excellent support when grinding hard-to-reach areas.
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive, Making Disc to Tool Attachment Easy
When it comes to woodworking and metalworking, having the right abrasive tools and accessories can help enhance throughput and productivity. The 3M™ PSA Disc Holder was designed to make disc to tool attachment swift and easy for operators, especially when there are multiple grades in a sequence. Our 3M™ PSA Disc Holder brings the pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) attachment system to life.
The medium density 3M™ PSA Disc Holder provides excellent support for PSA discs. With a flat face designed to accept the adhesive on the back of PSA discs, operators simply press the disc onto the holder pad and apply light pressure by hand to make it stick. The disc can be peeled off of the disc pad just as easily, leaving a clean surface for the next disc.
Extending the Disc’s Reach
3M™ designed the disc holders to be smaller in diameter than the discs for easier disc centering and removal. The holder pad is available in a range of sizes to accommodate discs of various sizes. During grinding, 3M™ PSA Disc Holder helps access hard to reach areas. This is due, in part, to the shank that extends from the holder pad and attaches to the power tool. The shank adds length to the disc – extending its reach and helping it get into tight areas. The shank is 1/4" inch in diameter and attaches easily to any tool with a ¼” collet.
