3M™ Paint Protection Film SJ6595J is a tough adhesive film for protecting automotive paint and other surfaces from impact, scratches and solvents. The 8 mil film is comprised of polyurethane tested for resistance to gravel, solvents and to temperatures up to 120°C. A high-gloss topcoat resists weathering. Film is ideal for areas where liquid coatings are difficult to apply.
Tough, Transparent Protection for Automotive Painted Surfaces
3M™ Paint Protection Film SJ6595J protects automotive surfaces from weathering and gravel chips as well as from a variety of chemicals. This 8 mil polyurethane film features excellent tensile strength, elongation and dimensional stability and conforms tightly and consistently even to wraparounds and other complex geometries. This material has been rigorously tested for gravel chip resistance as well as resistance to waxes, dewaxes, gasoline, detergents, paint cleaners, high-pressure washing and accelerated weathering. A functional topcoat adds a high-gloss appearance and boosts weathering performance. The acrylic adhesive applied to the film makes for fast, efficient application and delivers very high bond strength for automotive paint surfaces. The adhesive has been tested for peel adhesion at room temperatures and at temperatures up to 120°C (short-term) and 80°C (7 days).
