3M™ Finesse-it™ Felt Buffing Pads are designed to for use with 3M™ Finesse-it™ Polishes to remove abrasive sanding scratches from various types of clearcoats. Available in both 3 and 5-inch diameters for different application needs, these pads achieve best results when running between 3,000–6,000 rpm on a rotary buffer or up to 12,000 rpm on a random orbital buffer. Additionally, 3M™ Finesse-it™ Felt Buffing Pads are equipped with the 3M™ Hookit™ Attachment System, which holds the pad securely during use while providing quick pad change-outs to maximize tool uptime.
Remove Defects, Sand Scratches, and Swirl Marks
Identifiable by its red and white design, with the 3M wordmark stamped on its backing, the 3M™ Finesse it™ Buffing Pad comes in both 3 and 5 inch diameters. Achieve best results on a variety of clearcoats using the 3 inch pad when running between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm on a rotary polisher or between 10,000 – 12,000 rpm on a random orbital polisher. Our 5 inch buffing pad should run between 3,000 – 6,000 rpm on a rotary polisher or between 10,000 – 12,000 rpm on a random orbital polisher.
Securely Attached for Better Buffing
This pad is manufactured with the 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system for quick pad attachment and removal. Hookit™ buffing pads conveniently and firmly attach to a hook and loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on rotary or random orbital tools, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re used again and again for the life of the pad. Finish results depend on the combination of coating type, polish and tools used.
