3M™ Trizact™ Cloth 327DC abrasives are a perfect choice for dry metalworking applications. Our macroreplicated "bricks" are designed for intermediate blending and finishing. Aluminum oxide mineral and grinding aid technology reduces heat buildup, runs cooler and ultimately extends the life of the abrasive.
New Low Pressure Options for a Variety of Metals, Equipment Parameters, Part Shapes and Conditions
3M™ Trizact™ Cloth 327DC is available in converted forms including belts, discs and rolls and in grades from A300 to A30. This abrasive sustains its cut rate throughout its life, so operators don't have to increase pressure to offset declining performance, as with conventional abrasives.
Abrasive Structure Engineered to Perform
Part of the CF abrasive family, the 3M™ Trizact™ Cloth 327DC abrasives feature a matrix of resin and aluminum oxide mineral and incorporate a grinding aid to run cooler. This family of abrasives was engineered to perform consistently from day one until the end of the product's life.
Macroreplication is the science behind the geometrical "bricks-and-channels" abrasive structure that distinguishes our 327DC products. These unique abrasive bricks contain up to four times as much mineral as conventional abrasives. As the mineral breaks down, fresh mineral is exposed, keeping cut rate consistent.
Cuts and Finishes Consistently All the Way to the Backing
Channels between the abrasive bricks reduce heat build-up and remove swarf. The low pressure/easy breakdown profile of 327DC abrasives means it resists loading when working with aluminum, zinc, brass and other softer metals.
The result is an abrasive product that cuts and finishes consistently from the beginning to the end of its life – all the way to the backing.
Reduce Variability, Reduce Process Steps, Reduce Cost Per Part
The extremely uniform distribution of mineral over the backing and the brick-like structure of the mineral serves to extend the consistent cut and finish of Trizact into earlier f
