Our 3M™ Tandem Spring Roller helps technicians achieve consistent wet out of 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape. The shaped handle is balanced between two rollers for precise directional control. A spring-loaded brake allows the front roller to operate only when sufficient pressure is applied. Spring can be tuned by 3M for specific OEM applications to ensure consistent 15 PSI at bondlines.
A Simple Tool for Smooth, Consistent OEM Attachment Tape Application
Even the best acrylic foam tapes work only if they are applied properly. Our 3M™ Tandem Spring Roller is designed to ensure you get the tape on correctly the first time. This lightweight, easy to use tool is specifically designed for use with 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes. It features a smooth handle shaped for secure grip and balanced between two smooth operating rollers. A spring loaded, clutch style brake holds the front in place when not in use. It allows the roller to turn freely when the operator applies the correct pressure on the spring. This generates a consistent 15 PSI at the bondline, helping to ensure optimal wet out of the foam acrylic tape adhesive to the automotive substrate. The rear roller turns freely and provides excellent stability for applications where horizontal control is vital for maximum adhesion and a sharp, professional appearance. The clutch roller can be pre tuned by 3M to match specific OEM specifications.
The center handle fits smoothly into the operator’s hand, maximizing tool use and helping reduce operator fatigue. The compact, horizontal design of the tool helps ensure precise transfer of pressure from the handle to the roller, and makes for easy tool storage.
