3M™ Polyethylene Tape 921

3M™ Polyethylene Tape 921 is strong and effective in pipe wrap applications. This transparent, 5.8 mil (0.15 mm) thick tape is most commonly used to help protect metal and PVC pipes from corrosion in underground and outdoor applications. A strong and conformable polyethylene film tape, it also boasts very high shear and a UV resistant acrylic adhesive system. With its excellent holding properties and cold stick, this tape excels in tough and damp environments. It is resistant to moisture, many alkalis, oils, weathering and abrasion, making this one of 3M’s most effective tapes at pipe insulation closure. It can also be used as an outdoor masking tape.
