Tough, Transparent Protection for Automotive Painted Surfaces
3M™ Paint Protection Film SJ6594J protects automotive surfaces from weathering and gravel chips as well as from a variety of chemicals. This 12 mil polyurethane film features excellent tensile strength, elongation and dimensional stability and conforms tightly and consistently even to wraparounds and other complex geometries. This material has been rigorously tested for gravel chip resistance as well as resistance to waxes, dewaxes, gasoline, detergents, paint cleaners, high-pressure washing and accelerated weathering. A functional topcoat adds a high-gloss appearance and boosts weathering performance. The acrylic adhesive applied to the film makes for fast, efficient application and delivers very high bond strength for automotive paint surfaces. The adhesive has been tested for peel adhesion at room temperatures and at temperatures up to 120°C (short-term) and 80°C (7 days). This makes it suitable for standard bake cycles, helping ensure a consistent bond.

Featuring a plastic liner for easy release, 3M™ Paint Protection Film SJ6594J is flexible and die-cuttable to make it easier to apply on complex automotive surfaces. It is available in die-cut or pre-masked parts for added OEM efficiency.
