3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape GT7140 is a white 4.0 mm acrylic foam tape for attaching automotive trim parts to a variety of automotive substrates such as traditional automotive paints. A viscoelastic foam core provides stress relaxation when exposed to high application loads, and maintains tight bond-line aesthetics under normal conditions.
Specifically Designed for Automotive Parts Attachment
Developed for attaching a range of automotive trim and other components, our 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape GT7140 works reliably in the harsh environment that automobiles encounter daily. It adheres dependably when exposed to temperature extremes, moisture and solvents. Once the part is set in place, the tape will hold it with high final adhesion and peel strength. 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape GT7140 features a white, 4.0 mm acrylic foam core with acrylic adhesive on both sides. The foam core delivers excellent wet-out, and features viscoelastic properties that allow it to elongate and relax when put under a load, thereby minimizing stress on the adhesive bond line. The red liner provides easy one-piece release and efficient tape application.
