Hi-Protection Film Tape PNU9401J has a ultra-high-molecular-weight (UHMW) polyethylene (PE) film which shows superior slipping properties, a good anti abrasion and a excellent weatherability, and has an acrylic adhesive which excels in a adhesion performance, a heat resistance and a flexibility. It was developed for the applications of a noise prevention, a slipping improvement and an anti abrasion.
A Tough, Clear Protection Film Tape for Automotive Painted Surfaces
3M™ Scotchcal™ Hi-Protection Film Tape PNU9401J protects automotive surfaces from scratches and rock chips, as well as abrasion and weathering. This 13 mil film tape provides a very thick protective barrier, yet is great for applications with tight corners, narrow contours and very tight tolerances. It features a polyurethane base with excellent tensile strength, elongation and dimensional stability that conforms tightly and consistently even to wraparounds and other complex geometries. This material has been rigorously tested for gravel chip resistance as well as resistance to gasoline and accelerated weathering. The acrylic adhesive makes for fast, efficient application and delivers very high bond strength for automotive paint surfaces.
