3M™ Paint Protection Film SJ8732 is a tough adhesive film for protecting automotive paint and other surfaces from chips, scratches and solvents. The film is comprised of tough polyurethane tested for resistance to abrasion, solvents and to temperatures up to 80°C. This transparent film is ideal for areas where liquid coatings are difficult to apply.
Thin, Tough, Transparent Protection for Automotive Painted Surfaces
3M™ Paint Protection Film SJ8732 protects automotive surfaces from scratches and rock chips as well as abrasion and weathering. This 3.9 mil film is a great choice for applications with very tight tolerances. It features a polyurethane base with excellent tensile strength, elongation and dimensional stability that conforms tightly and consistently even to wraparounds and other complex geometries. This material has been rigorously tested for gravel chip resistance as well as resistance to gasoline and accelerated weathering. The acrylic adhesive makes for fast, efficient application and delivers very high bond strength for automotive paint surfaces. The adhesive has been tested for peel adhesion at room temperatures and at temps up to 80°C (7 days). This makes it suitable for standard bake cycles, helping ensure a consistent bond.
