3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 2000HT is an engineered mat mount for high-temperature applications and designs incorporating larger gap openings. Intumescent material delivers a secure hold under higher temps, and polycrystalline fibers help prevent mat erosion. The non-intumescent technology is excellent for areas such as minor axes in ultra-thin wall designs, or where close-couple to the underbody.
An Engineered Mat Mount for High Temperature Applications
Developed for gasoline converter systems, 3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 2000HT an engineered (hybrid) mat mount which combines intumescent and non-intumescent material for consistent monolith support, seal and insulation in high temperatures. Intumescent (vermiculite) mat mount material is excellent for designs incorporating larger gap openings, where monolith-mat interface temperatures may periodically exceed 950ºC/1742ºF. Non-intumescent polycrystalline fibers deliver added durability and help prevent mat erosion for designs incorporating a range of monolith types, including those requiring thin or ultra-thin walls or close-coupled converter locations.
