3M™ Wire Pulling Lubricant is a water-based gel that acts as an excellent lubricant for pulling communication cable. This easy-to-apply gel dries off slowly on cables. The lubricant produces low coefficient of friction to reduce the chance of cable damage from high pulling forces.
3M™ Wire Pulling Lubricant features a stringy and clingy material composition that evenly forms a coating on wires. This lubricant gel withstands a wide temperature range of 20 to 120 degrees F (-6.7 to 49 degrees C). It avoids stress cracks on the low-density polyethylene jacketing materials that are commonly used in communication-type cables. This lubricant reduces the cable tension for long fiber optic pulls, multiple bend pulls and pulls in hot environments. CSA Certified and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.
