An all-in-one PIM mitigation solution
Together, these products offer an effective, robust solution for passive intermodulation (PIM) issues while allowing for easier installation with zero site downtime. In addition, it does not impede antenna adjustment and helps promote greater signal-to-noise ratio to support the higher data rates of 5G networks.
- 3M™ External PIM Absorber 1000: Composite material consisting of a carrier resin, magnetic fillers and an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA)
- 3M™ Butyl Mastic Tape 2212: High-tack, self-fusing mastic tape ideal for making water-resistant and humidity-resistant seals
- Scotch® Super 33+™ Vinyl Electrical Tape: Premium-grade electrical tape with excellent resistance to UV exposure and a wide variety of weather conditions
- “Do Not Remove” label: Informs technicians that the layers of tape shouldn't be removed during maintenance tasks

Prior to applying the 3M™ Butyl Mastic Tape 2212 and Scotch® Super 33+™ Vinyl Electrical Tape on top of the 3M™ External PIM Absorber 1000, the absorber can be repositioned or adjusted to the satisfaction of the technician completing the installation.
